The 11 Rule
We will use 32 x 11 for an example:
  1. To multiply any two digit number by 11 first separate the two digits (3_2)
  2. Add the two digits together (3 + 2 = 5)
  3. Place the total between the two numbers (352), therefore 32 x 11 = 352
  4. If the total of the two numbers that you add is larger than 9, only place the ones digit in the hole and carry the tens digit:
  5. 11 x 57
  6. (5_7)
  7. (5 + 7 = 12)
  8. We place the 2 in the hole and ad the 1 to the 5
  9. Therefore 11 x 57 = 627
